Crown Las Vegas

Crown Las Vegas, formerly known as the Las Vegas Tower, is a proposed supertall skyscraper to be built on the Las Vegas Strip. If built, the tower would stand at 1,150 feet (350 meters). This means it would be the tallest structure in the Las Vegas and in the state of Nevada, standing one foot higher then the the Stratosphere Tower.

Crown Las Vegas was originally proposed to rise to a height of 1,888 feet (575 m) but the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) was concerned with the proposed height, due to the tower's proximity to McCarran International Airport and Nellis Air Force Base. On October 24, 2007, the FAA denied the project, deeming that the tower was a "hazard to aviation". As a result of the decision, Clark County code prohibited its construction at the proposed height. There are currently plans to resubmit the project, with a new height of 1,150 feet (575 m). This would make the final height of the tower only one foot taller than the Stratosphere Tower. A final opinion from the FAA is pending.

Burj Mubarak Al-Kabir, 1001m tall tower was aproved

Kuwait joins the race to build the world's tallest building after Kuwait's Municipal Council on Wednesday approved drawing sketches of Madinat al-Hareer. Madinat al-Hareer (meaning "City of Silk"), is a proposed 250 square kilometer planned urban area in Subiya, Kuwait, an area just opposite Kuwait City which, upon construction. The area will include Burj Mubarak al-Kabir witch will stand at 1,001 m tall almost twice the height of Taipei 101, officially still the world's tallest building.
